LINK Up Illinois' Double Value Coupon Program makes healthy foods more affordable by doubling the value of LINK card purchases at farmers markets across the state.
For each dollar you spend with your LINK card at a participating farmers market, you will receive a $1 coupon. So if you buy $10 of food with your LINK card, you get $10 more for free. You can spend these coupons on any LINK-approved foods at the market, but they are not redeemable for cash or change.
Each market has it’s own way of using double value coupons, so look for the information booth at the market to learn more. Some markets use tokens, while others use paper coupons. Most markets limit the total amount of coupons you can receive in one day, and coupons are only available while funds last.The following Illinois Farmers Markets have been awarded LINK Up Illinois grants to implement Double Value Coupon Programs:
