LINK Up Illinois is offering SNAP Support Grants to Illinois farmers markets to provide support for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) redemption systems at Illinois Farmers Markets. SNAP Support Grants are intended to help farmers markets cover the costs of implementing EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) systems, including staff time for EBT operation and administration, implementation (tokens, scrip production), and outreach.
To apply for a SNAP Support Grant, please complete the online application below. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis from February 1 through April 1, 2016. Two-year grants will range from $1000-$5,000. Please be aware that there is limited funding. We aim to provide funds to as many markets as possible.
