A Backyard Series and Ano Bank$ production

$5 suggested donation, but no one turned away
Ano Bank$ joins forces with the Backyard Series for a Black History Month special at Experimental Station. The event is a celebration of the African Diaspora and Culture, in the middle of the month that celebrates African American History. We have brought together talented group of artists and influencers for an interdisciplinary evening and exhibition of culture.
We come together to celebrate and share a community of wordsmiths, soundsmiths, and creative individuals. In light of all this political shame, environmental madness, and callous injustice, it's important to stand together and remind ourselves that we will always hold the power in our hands to lift each other up and put effort into making an impact that does matter.
We invite everyone to a stage set for you- Take your place alongside a talented set of performers for the evening. This night is an opportunity for residents and guests to network and engage with the wide community of underground Chicago.
Sip on some tea or hot chocolate (or byob!), while painting with with Unladylike Chi from 6:00-7:30.
This will be followed by live performances from Ano Bank$, Mani Jurdan, Amare Symone, Kimanisho, and the Banks Performance Project.
A visual art pop-up exhibit will be up throughout the evening featuring Izzy, DDesigns, Felix Barnes, and Recothegreat.
Food will be available for sale by Kaya Fresh (cash, square, or venmo).
Donations made at the event in cash or through venmo will go to help pay the artists involved.
