For each dollar you spend with your Link card at a participating farmers market, you will receive a $1 coupon. So if you buy $10 of food with your Link card, you get $10 more for free. In the past you could spend these coupons on any Link-approved foods at the farmers market.  Link Up Illinois Double Value Coupons can only be spent on fruits and vegetables.  Coupons are not redeemable for cash or change.

Each market has its own way of using LINK Up Illinois Double Value Coupons, so look for the information booth at the market to learn more. Some markets use tokens, while others use paper coupons. Most markets limit the total amount of coupons you can receive in one day, and coupons are only available while funds last.

A note about LINK Up Illinois Affiliate Markets: Markets sometimes raise their own funding to pay for their Double Value Coupon Program. In an effort to tell the complete story of incentive programs at farmers markets in our state, LINK Up Illinois began an Affiliate market program. These markets share their data with us in exchange for technical support. Three markets joined the LINK Up Illinois network as Affiliates in 2014.

If your Illinois farmers market would be interested in participating in this program, please contact our program manager, Corey Chatman,
