ARTSLINK ASSEMBLY 2023

  • Experimental Station 6100 South Blackstone Avenue Chicago, IL, 60637 United States (map)

Happening this year at Experimental Station, in Chicago, in person and in Kyiv online on November 16-17, ArtsLink Assembly 2023: The Future is Not What It Used to Be is a meeting of potent ideas and individual actions, of insights and practices, of individual artists and key institutions, of engaging speakers and active listeners.

Experimental Station opens its doors for the November 16 program. A not-for-profit community organization dedicated to building independent cultural infrastructure on the South Side of Chicago, Experimental Station has been providing essential resources that respond to local needs since its founding by Dan Peterman and Connie Spreen in 2002.

The food is catered by Ketapanen Kitchen, owned by Chef Jessica Walks First.

Chef Jessica, a member of the Menominee tribe in Wisconsin, is an educator and activist, who has created health-conscious Native dishes and has been feeding Chicagoans indigenous foods for several years.

Moor's Brewing Company, based in Chicago and operated by Black entrepreneurs, has generously provided the beer for this event. Established on Juneteenth 2021 by Jamhal Johnson and Damon Patton, Moor’s Brewing Company crafts its beer with a nod to the profound and often overlooked history of their African heritage, honoring the "Original Craftsmen”.
